LED lightings for Rolex!
My cousin dragged me into a Rolly shop in Chinatown and got herself a nice boy-sized Datejust with MOP. Do notice the huge mix of Warm White and Cool Whites for luxury goods retail industry. For jewelleries and watches, ww is used to create the warm inviting ambience while the cw is to create the sparkle off the items.
Bishan Stadium – Philips Lighting
I was invited to a S-League aka As*-League game at Bishan Stadium on one Sunday evening.
Bishan Stadium adopted a total Philips sports lighting solution during construction and it had undergone an upgrading project 2 years back in mind of the what I think is a total waste of taxpayers’ money event – the YOG.
The game was such a bore I would rather check on the lights.
Speaking of football, I had a memorable shot on the slow progressing death of our Kallang Grand Old Lady last year. The National Stadium was using Siemens Lighting (and Siemens owns Osram).
Beijing Visit
I visited what appeared to be the Chinese Dragon’s pulse in March 2011 for an Oil & Gas Trade show. Don’t get too excited for there isn’t much for lighting products. Both the local big boys -Warom & Ocean King were there and the respective sales rep upon the warm greetings from Singapore, started rattling right away on their sales pitch. I never had people calling and selling lighting products for awhile and hell, it was entertaining.
Tiananmen has re-defined and grown the technical term of ‘multi-purpose’ pole.
Philips 12W L-Prize Bulb – TearDown
Some cool folks from the CPF decided to do an autopsy of this awesome product.
Not your usual Warm White or Amber/Cool-White color-mixing but the Royal Blues my goodness!!
Optiled in today’s ST again
They are striking the iron while its hot. They are on a good tempo engaging the market. Like many other big boys in the market, I guess they are moving away from simply being a supplier to a full systems integrator business model.
Let’s see who is the 1st maufacturer to invest in some air time on the mainstream TV channels.
